Contrast therapy in Parnell, Auckland

The right
combination
gets results.

Two private contrast rooms, a rooftop that takes nine, and PEMF, red light and compression in the same building. Book them back to back and do it all in one visit.

Combination packages

One visit,
a stack of
therapies.

If you would rather try everything first

Two weeks.
All of it.

The Renew Experience Pass is two weeks of unlimited access to contrast therapy, PEMF, red light and compression. Long enough to work out which combination is actually yours before you commit to one.

  • Unlimited private room and rooftop contrast therapy
  • Unlimited PEMF, red light and compression
  • One per client, activated on your first visit

Why combine them

Four therapies
that complement
each other

Start with contrast therapy: heat, then cold, and your circulation moving. Then the compression sleeves, firm and rhythmic in a wave from the feet, and you stand up noticeably lighter. Twenty minutes of full body red light next, no heat and no downtime, aimed at your skin and at soreness in the days after training. Finish on the PEMF bed, thirty minutes lying back fully clothed, feeling the pulses work through whatever is tight or sore, and most people get up looser than they lay down. Four therapies, one visit, each one picking up where the last left off, in the only wellness place in Auckland where you can do all four.

  • A person lying on the PEMF bed at Renew under deep blue light

    PEMF · 30 min · Fully clothed

    PEMF therapy

Thirty minutes lying back, fully clothed, while electromagnetic pulses run through you. No heat, no needles. You feel them most through the spots that are tight or sore, and most people get up looser and more relaxed than when they lay down.

  • Two people sitting in front of the red light therapy panels at Renew

Red light · 20 min · Full body

    Red light panels

Twenty minutes of full body red light. No heat, no downtime, nothing to brace for. The evidence is strongest on facial skin, where a trial in women aged 40 to 65 measured around a 30% drop in wrinkle volume over four weeks, and on soreness in the days after hard training.

  • A person lying down wearing NormaTec compression sleeves on both legs

Compression · 30 min · Legs, hips, arms

    Compression sleeves

Thirty minutes of rhythmic air compression, working in a wave from the feet upward. Firm, never painful. Choose legs, hips or arms. Good after training, a long day on your feet or a flight, and what it changes is how your legs feel.

Contrast therapy

Two private rooms.
And a roof
that takes nine.

A private Renew room with the lit cold plunge on one side and the infrared sauna on the other

Private room · 30 or 60 min · $75 or $95 · Fits 2 to 3

The private rooms

Your own infrared sauna, a circulating ice bath sitting between 6 and 8 degrees, and a rainfall shower for the walk between them. The door stays shut and the pace is yours. Each room fits two or three, and bringing someone with you is $25 on top of the session.

The two barrel saunas on the Renew rooftop, one with the door open and someone sitting inside, with rolled towels on the bench and the Auckland skyline behind

Rooftop · 60 min · $45 · Up to 9

The rooftop

Communal, outdoors, over the Auckland Domain, and the cheapest way into contrast therapy here. Nine people at a time, so it works for a group as easily as for one. Group and exclusive hire

Questions we
actually get

Can I book more than one therapy in a single visit?

Yes, and that is what the combination packages are for. Each therapy is its own booking, so you place them back to back and they run as one visit. Renew is the only place in Auckland with contrast therapy, PEMF, red light and NormaTec compression in one building, so anywhere else this would be separate appointments in separate places.

Do I have to get in the ice bath?

No. PEMF, red light and compression involve no heat and no cold at all. You lie down, fully clothed, and there is nothing to brace for. Contrast therapy is the one that uses the sauna and the ice bath, and even then you set your own pace.

What is contrast therapy?

Alternating heat and cold. Heat widens your blood vessels and loosens tight muscles, cold narrows them again, and moving between the two gets your circulation working. Most people finish a round loose and clear headed.

How cold is the ice bath?

Between 6 and 8 degrees, depending on the day. The water circulates, so the temperature stays even around you rather than warming where you sit.

How many people fit?

Each private contrast room fits two or three people, and bringing someone in with you is $25 on top of the session. The communal rooftop takes 9 at a time. For a group booking or exclusive rooftop hire, get in touch.

Is Renew part of Next Gen?

No. We are inside the Next Gen building, but we are a separate business and you do not need to be a member there to book with us.

Should I check with my doctor first?

If you are pregnant, have a heart or circulation condition, an implanted medical device, recent surgery, or you are being treated for anything ongoing, have a word with your doctor before booking. Tell our team as well and we will work around it.
