This policy is the privacy clause published in our terms and conditions, set out on its own page, plus a plain description of what this website itself collects.

Giving us your information

You are not required to provide personal information to us, although in some cases if you choose not to do so then we will be unable to make certain sections of the website available to you or provide certain services to you. For example, we may need your contact information in order to reply to you.

When you provide personal information to us, we will comply with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

What we use it for

The personal information you provide to us is collected and may be used for communicating with you, statistical analysis, the marketing by us of products and services to you, credit checks if necessary, and research and development.

What this website collects

There is one form on this website, on the contact page. It asks for your name, your email address, an optional phone number, a subject and a message. That information is sent to us so we can reply to you, and it is not used for anything else unless you ask us to add you to something.

We may also collect technical information about your use of the website through the use of cookies and other means. This information is used by us to improve and personalise the website. You can disable cookies by changing your browser settings, but this may mean that you cannot use all of the features of the website.

Some of that technical information is shared with two advertising and analytics providers, so we can understand which pages people find useful and measure whether our advertising works. They are Meta, through the Meta Pixel, and Google, through Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics. What they receive is pages viewed, links clicked, and standard technical details such as your browser, approximate location and IP address. It does not include the contents of a message you send us through the contact form.

You can opt out. Both providers honour browser and device level controls: Meta through your ad preferences, Google through its opt-out add-on, and both through blocking third party cookies or using a tracking blocker. Nothing on this website stops working if you do.

Bookings and payments are not taken on this website. They are handled by our booking provider, on their own systems and under their own privacy terms.

Who we share it with

We will not disclose personal information that you provide to us, including your email address, to any third parties other than as set out below:

• to the extent specifically required by law or any governmental authority;
• for the purposes of the operation, protection, promotion or improvement of our business systems and processes, including the provision of services to you, statistical analysis, and research and development;
• to our service providers and business partners, and any other parties authorised by you, to the extent necessary to provide you with the services you have requested; or
• for the purposes of a valid business purpose, such as the sale or transfer of our business, provided that such parties agree to keep your personal information confidential in the same manner that we do.

Keeping it safe

We will take reasonable steps to keep your personal information safe from loss and unauthorised activity. We cannot guarantee the security of your information. However, we will use all reasonable endeavours to keep your personal information secure.

We may store your personal information on secure servers which are located outside New Zealand. This may involve the transfer of your personal information to countries which have less legal protection for personal information than New Zealand.

Seeing and correcting your information

You have the right to request access to and correction of any of the personal information we hold about you.
