Naturopathy
An hour and a half with a registered naturopath, going through your history properly, and a written plan afterwards. In person in Parnell, or online.
An appointment
Most people book the free discovery call first, which is a short conversation to work out whether this is the right thing for them before they pay for anything.
-
Before
You fill in a health questionnaire once you have booked. It covers your history, what you eat and how you live, so the appointment itself is not spent on the basics.
-
The consultation
Ninety minutes going through your symptoms, your history, your nutrition and the way your days actually run. If you have blood work or functional test results, Dalia goes through those with you. Basic physical checks where they are useful.
-
The plan
A written plan, usually talked through about a week later, with nutrition and lifestyle steps and reading to go with it. Follow-ups adjust it as you go rather than starting again.
The practitioner
Dalia Garalyte is a Registered Naturopath and Medical Herbalist, and a Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner. Degree qualified, and working mostly with people whose health concerns have been going on a long time.
In the building 3pm to 5pm, Mondays and Thursdays
Her clinical focus is chronic and complex health. These are the areas she works in:
- Hormone imbalance
- Thyroid disorders
- Chronic gut disorders
- Autoimmune conditions, including Hashimoto's thyroiditis, MS, Crohn's, rheumatoid arthritis, ulcerative colitis and coeliac disease
- Chronic fatigue
- Chronic infections and low immune function
- Neurodegenerative disorders
- Insulin resistance, diabetes and metabolic syndrome
- Cardiovascular disease and chronic hypertension
Working in an area is not the same as treating a condition. A consultation here is not a diagnosis, it does not replace your doctor, and nobody will ever suggest you stop or change a medicine you have been prescribed. Tell Dalia what you are taking, because herbs and supplements interact with medication.

Do I have to come in?
No. Consultations run in person at Parnell or online, and the appointment is the same either way. Plenty of people do the first one in the room and the follow-ups from home.
How many appointments will I need?
It depends on what you came in with, and Dalia will give you a straight answer once she has your history. A general check might be one or two. Something long running takes longer. Nobody is going to book you in for a year up front.
Do I need blood tests first?
No. Bring whatever you already have and Dalia will go through it with you. If something further would be useful she will say so, and it is your decision. Reading a test is part of the appointment, not a product we are selling you.
Is this instead of seeing my doctor?
No, and please do not treat it as such. This sits alongside medical care. Nothing said in a consultation is a diagnosis, and you will never be advised to stop, reduce or delay something your doctor has prescribed.
What is the free discovery call?
A short conversation before you commit to anything, to work out whether this approach is the right fit for you. It costs nothing and there is no obligation at the end of it.
If you are not sure it is for you, start with the discovery call. It is free, and it is a shorter conversation than this page.
